Kort posing with his alien friend.

Hi there, I'm Kort (on the right).

I've had a pencil in my hand for as long as I can remember. I may have exchanged the pencil and paper for mouse and monitor, but the desire to create still beckons me to my digital "canvas" for hours on end.

Lake Sunrise III by Kort Kramer
I'm the eldest son of two New York City natives, Paul and Audrey Kramer. Without their constant support and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. Having been an Air Force brat, I had the opportunity to tour the world during my youth. Many of these colorful adventures included stays at Germany, Italy, Hawaii, Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong. I also lived stateside in Virginia, Louisiana, and currently South Florida. Being immersed in myriad cultures helped to spark my creative fires and to explore the universal motifs that reveal themselves in a variety of artistic forms throughout the world.
At Kadena High School in Okinawa Japan, I took Art Studio for my last three years under the tutelage of Ruth Ann Gold, a very talented watercolorist. I explored different styles and media from acrylic paint to photography. As a fine arts major at the University of Florida, I continued to nurture my creativity and experimented with a wide variety of media including digital art. After graduating with a BFA in 1993, I moved to Jacksonville, FL where I was employed as a staff photographer for the newspaper Clay Today. Later, I worked in the art department of Gallo Pewter brainstorming product ideas and preparing original art for casting.
The Meditator by Kort Kramer
Even though these job experiences enabled me to become a more rehearsed artist, I yearned to expand my professional repertoire. In 1996 I attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and earned a degree in Graphic Design. Upon graduation, I was hired by PDI Communications Inc., a Cable & Satellite TV supplier company, as a graphic designer. I am involved with all aspects of their advertising and marketing from the creation of magazine ads to the designing of 500 page catalogs. Currently, I hold the position of PDI's Art Director and oversee all printed and web materials the company produces. I live in Boca Raton with my wife Lisa, son Connor, daughter Kyra, and a number of sanity-challenged cats.
Fractal Journey by Kort Kramer
I was an early user of the 3D program Bryce and have been incorporating elements produced in the program into my artwork since 1997. This 3D program is a big reason why I have merged from the traditional realm into the digital arena. The worlds I can create in "cyberspace" fascinate me and I want to continue to express my creativity in this forum. My recent interests include studies in Fractals and Sacred Geometry. They appeal to both my artistic verve and my intellectual (and technical) curiosities. I have been a big science fiction & fantasy fan for most of my life. Many of the motifs associated with these genres reveal themselves in the images showcased on my web site.
My fascination with world mythologies and folklore initiated my interest in fantasy art...and I'm sure all the cool air force jets and military vehicles that were an big part of my childhood environment unleashed the science-fiction buff in me. Being a voracious reader of mythology, fantasy, horror and sci-fi has also helped to stimulate my creative impulses towards the fantastical.
Dome Home by Kort Kramer

I recently renewed my passion for photography and most of my recent work is in that arena. I am proud to count myself among the select group of photogrpahers who are part of the Photo-Genesis website. I invite you to visit my galleries there and at Renderosity if you have the time, as well as the other galleries on my 'Gallery' page

I admire many artists, from old masters to contemporary illustrators and photographers. Their work has been a vital source of inspiration and has often helped me to develop and nurture my imaginative pursuits.

I hope that my work can help inspire you on your own creative quest!

This is my STAR WARS personality:

You scored as XIX: The Sun. This is the happiest card in the deck. It is full of joy and optimism, everything is right with the world. We are as innocent children playing in the fields without care. The Sun brings success, well-being and happiness in all spheres - material, emotional, spiritual -wherever our desires lay. When this card appears in a Tarot spread it indicates success, joy and happiness. Obstacles will be overcome, goals achieved. When badly aspected, it can indicate a stagnation through over-indulgence, too much of a good thing.
